Trinity Blood Act 38
A.W.E.S.O.M.E chapter.

For the first time in a while, I LIKED MangaEsther. It seemed her personality here wasn't touched from her Novel self, you see a pissed off, self-reliant, pro-active woman (the Abel clinging is OVER). And Shahr... wow Shahr. She's the cutest thing ever, so sweet and badass, but also vulnerable. You can see she's a little shaken by her men's "losses" and still holding herself. Caterina has another nice part here. I love her reaction, she's very realistic character. ROM IV is a very female-centered arc even if the villain is a male. That's refreshing after so much Abel-centered d0rama.

	They are OTP ish. I love how strong Esther (Manga version anyway) is next to Shahr. She pales when patterned with Abel or Ion (not EVEN speaking in a romantic sense). She did kick ass with Dietrich when he was good. Then her personality suffered from Manga Girl Syndrome SIGH Shahr stepped in and saved her. >> (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

Not if you go by novels, sadly Dietrich's betrayal deeply affected her/losing everything and much of her backbone was a little reduced because she no longer had a cause. That's until she meets Shahrzad. :)

Manga sort of crapped out the adaptation of ROM I and water down badass!terrorist leader!Esther who got a personality like volume 10+ Esther. I'm glad Kiyo recalled Esther's personality by ROM IV adaptation :D

Ah, well I started of this series by reading the manga and only finished the first two novels; Rise of the Machines before Esther comes in. Though I have heard she's much stronger in the novels I haven't really seen that until now in Volume 10 of the manga. For that I am grateful since I have always thought she had potential and it just wasn't shown before. Though thanks for this information. It really encourages me to grab more of the novels.

	I think she's got potential in ROM I but all the stuff that happened killed her inside and until Shahrzad show up in her life, she couldn't embrace herself. making a Shahr/Esther fanmix (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	It's understandable losing her mother figure and being betrayed by someone she truly cared for. Maybe you have a point with those two. It does seem like Shara has a really positive effect on her. -really doesn't know what a fanmix is- I just hope this arc ends well but, I highly doubt it. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	Not only that: she lost her cause, she lost the place she lived (the Cathedral), her entire world was shattered. Fanmix is a fansoundtrack made by fans. :D This is my favorite choice of song to summ their relationship. ...You're right. :/ I know how it ends. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	Yes, I agree. "Nothing without you" is another, just when she's about to do the speech, her feelings of be back in István again. Fit.So.Well. I have ROM IV: Imitation Star. Long short story: Shahrzad's people are already dead when they reach them. Shahrzad feels hatred for Outer Terrans but cast it aside to save Caterina & Alessandro from D'Annunzio as Esther's plea her to. She's shot down with UV bullets and is agonizing when the Inquisition get in there. To spare Esther of being a traitor, she takes Alec as "hostage" and begs Esther to kill her, so she can take the fame of killing the "dangerous vampire" and, with that reputation of Lady Saint, will be able to change the world for the better. Esther refuses, so Shahrzad closes her hand on hers and pulls the trigger on herself, shooting her heart. D'Annunzio is killed by the Inquisition. Esther's heartbroken with Shahrzad on her arms. The official version is that D'Annunzio died as a martyr and Esther is now the saint who defeated the vampire. Esther buries Shahr next to Gyula and vows to honor Shahr's wish to change the world for the better (thus leading to her eventual separation from the Empire and Vatican polluted ideals) and to live up to the title her sacrifice unfairly gave her.

	I know. It's very tragic, but beautiful. They are OTP. I call Shahrzad, Esther's Lilith. Pretty much. She changed and found her own way alone after. The Albion arcs made sure to solidify this. :) I do enjoy Dietrich/Esther for dark twisted interaction and Walsh twins/Esther, but Shahrzad/Esther is OTL. Nobody can measure to Shahr.
