It seemed like yesterday when their mouths first met in a kiss, when their bodies first joined in passion and decided to forget everything - duty, sanity and common sense included. They had been both hungry for life: he longed for human touch he hadn’t felt in decades and she craved for what she had never experienced with someone she could trust. But time did fly, London was rebuilt from its ashes, and years kept running…

His favourite part was to watch her sleep, basking in the afterglow. Alucard could lie at her side for hours before departing to his quarters. She always wanted to awake alone and he would always comply with his Master’s wishes. But for the moment, the vampire was enthralled by the vision she was as she slept. Her hair and skin glistened with sweat, face peacefully relaxed, and she breathed. Alucard leaned on her mouth and nose, inhaling the warm air she exhaled, sensing travelling into his cold, dead system. They breathed together.

His head darted closer to her bare breast, ear resting there, listening to the drumming rhythm of her heart. Its beats were the most beautiful melody ever weaved. It was the sound of life, life that would fiercely endure until the heart stops beating. He closed his eyes, stroking the edge of her breasts with one hand while the other was on his still chest; he remained there for a while to listen. Their hearts could have beaten in unison.

Finally, his body covered hers like a midnight blanket made of shadow. She shivered and coughed, but did not recoil. Her slumbering body recognised he was no threat. He took in her reactions while reformed fingertips to trace the small lines of age appearing near her eyes and the corner of her mouth. Years had passed and Alucard became aware of them by watching her age slowly, by listening to her body weakened imperceptible beneath her tanned skin.

The little signs of mortality were the most aphrodisiac for an old monster like him.

“You are beautiful as always, Integra,” his voice rang into her ear coming from an empty room with only a middle aged woman sleeping. Humans are the most fascinating creatures...

Her voice was low and collected, for most of the greeting period. Practiced, perhaps. How it was that she kept the damn monster away long enough for these little negotiations, he would never know or want to when the envelope arrived with a city, a hotel name and room number. He didn’t care. Not with the way the side of her mouth pulled upward while removing the cigarillo that said in away without words, that he was allowed to approach closer. Much closer.

Alexander’s hands came to rest at her hips. There was no need to hold her in an embrace, Integra true to her word was not going anywhere. She was not his sweetheart or anybodies. Slowly he curled his fingers and could most certainly know that the natural curves of her body had not disappeared beneath masculine tailor lines. Standing this close he could feel her breasts graze against his chest.

This standing wouldn’t last long. Sir Hellsing did not like to dally. Father Anderson removed each article of clothing from, setting each aside. Removing Integra’s trousers last so that he could kneel beside the bed with both rough, large palm cupping her soft, breast. Stubble would scrape her sweet dark skin as he lips would wander.

Integral Hellsing was so very much a woman. Alexander was glad. Especially for the way her trembling hands would try and remove clothing even when he was seeking sacrament between her thighs.

He would not say anything about the smell of Integra’s cigarillos, even though it was in her hair that he grasped with fervor at her own mouth’s exploration. Alex knew he smelled of incense from churches she would rather die than step foot into. So it came to pass that they would not speak of it, or many other things but direct, suggest, moan, gasp and enjoy the calm, sacred silence of the thereafter.

Carmen lifted the hat from his head and was being pulled up to her zeplin by a sturdy wire before the hatless figure even moved. He ganced up at her, his eyes hidden beneath orange glasses that flashed in the moonlight.

Carmen simply smirked back at him. She thought vampires were supposed to be lightening quick. Once she was safely on the deck, she exchanged her own fedora for his. It was a bit too big but not uncomfortably so. She wore it with a smug sense of satisfaction as she gazed at the English countryside passing below her.

It took her a moment to realize that someone was standing beside her. She did not, however turn. Carmen cut her eyes to see the vampire standing there, looking forward with a sardonic grin on his face.

"I believe you stole my hat." His voice was amused. But Carmen was more impressed with the quality it had--the quality of being beside her and all around her all at once.

"Well, it is so easily confused with my own." She smirked again. For his part, he chuckled, and that impressed Carmen as well. It was a low, rumbling sound that might have been simultaneously alluring and unnerving to anyone else. That, combined with his impressive speed and stealth, would be useful things for her trade.

"Then perhaps I will have yours." Carmen was holding her own fedora in front of her. Even before he finished speaking, she could feel him behind her, his clothing brushing hers as he wrapped his arms around her and took hold of her hat. His lips were at her neck, but there was no breath to accompany them.

A distinct thrill ran through her blood. But Carmen was thinking beyond the moment. She was wondering if she would still have fingerprints to leave behind afterwards.
